Stephen Crooks - Director

Stephen has 23 years experience in the architectural profession including 11 years as a director of Chaplin Crooks Architects Ltd. A registered architect & Homestar Practitioner, Stephen has a wide range of experience in residential, light commercial, industrial, hospitality projects and more recently earthquake repairs, upgrades and strengthening work.

Stephen has been responsible for the design of two NZIA award-winning projects in recent years and has a particular interest in energy efficient design. He sets very high standards for himself and the CCA team and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. He brings design ability, a high level of technical expertise and overall leadership and management skills to the practice.

His aim with any commission, large or small, is to create quality site-specific design solutions that respect context whilst meeting the more pragmatic requirements of space, function, budget & timeframe in creative and carefully considered ways.
