Chaplin Crooks Architects is an award-winning practice based in Ferrymead, Christchurch. Directors Stephen Crooks and Greg Miller have worked together since 2001, and manage a team of registered architects and technicians who are committed to producing high quality homes that our clients love to live in.
Our design process is structured to assist you to determine your requirements in detail, and to enable you to understand your new home’s design even if you have never seen construction drawings before. You will be involved at each stage of the work so you can give meaningful feedback, confident that we will listen to your unique requirements.
Each project will be undertaken by a team including a director and an architect or technician, who will use a combination of drawings, images and 3D computer models to help you visualise your design as it progresses from an initial concept to construction documentation.
Design concepts are rigorously critiqued by the whole team, which provides a valuable opportunity for all staff members to offer constructive criticism or contribute new ideas that can be considered by the project team before the concept is presented to you.
We are dedicated to developing the skills of our team, and an important part of this is mentoring staff members by involving them in site visits so they can follow projects through from initial concepts to completed buildings. Observing construction work is a great way to strengthen knowledge and ensure we are continually improving.
